5 Minutes For Mom is hosting, yet again, another wonderful contest. This one is in honor of Mother's Day. All you do is enter in a photo of what motherhood means to you, and you don't have to be a blogger to enter, you can email your submission as well. And the prize is $1,000. Yes, you read that right!
I had a hard time choosing the photo I wanted to enter. Being a mommy of three, I have many pictures that to me, represent motherhood. In fact, I may do an honorable mention post, so that you can see some of the other photos I was choosing from.
So, onto my entry....
On March 23rd, I gave birth to my third child. This time around I did at home, with a midwife, in a pool, in the middle of my family room. And it was an incredible experience. And no matter what type of birth you have, I think one of the most defining moments in any mother's life, is grabbing hold of your baby for the first time. (Even for adoptive mothers when they meet their new baby for the first time)
So here is that moment for me, the first time I lifted him up into my arms. After nine months of pregnancy and hours of labor, my little blessing was finally here.
