She's 5

Well, on Wednesday my baby girl officially turned five. I still can't believe that she is 5.

Here are some pictures of my little girl through the years....

My daughter has got spunk, lots of spunk. She's my dress wearing, Star Wars and Batman loving princess. She speaks her mind, she knows what she wants, and she tries hard to achieve it.

She is full of energy and is always on the go. She is inquisitive and loves to learn. She loves to dance around the house. She changes clothes constantly.

She loves to get a rise out of people. Although she pesters her two-year-old brother quite a bit, she still shows her tender side with him at times. She has such a caring heart.

She can be sassy, my little girl. She loves to laugh and to make others laugh. Her laugh is infectious. She loves animals. She loves to paint.

My little girl is going to achieve great things someday, because she doesn't take no for an answer.

Someone's Turning 5

We had the miss' birthday party today, a STAR WARS birthday party. It was fun! There aren't many pictures at all, because I was running around the whole time. :-)
And Sara had brought hers, but the darn thing was missing batteries. Oh Well.

We all had fun. And the miss got one present that she was soooooooooooo excited about.

Then almost all of the kids piled onto the couch to watch a bit of it and they were super cute. I took a picture, but my camera was dying, and it didn't come out. DARN!!

Making Fun #1

So yesterday didn't go completely as planned. It was quite a busy work day for me. If you haven't yet, check out 5 Minutes for Mom, we have some EXCITING STUFF going on. Later today I will post all about it.

I was busy getting everything organized, so I failed at Making Fun #1 yesterday. But the kiddos still had plenty of fun. They actually played very well yesterday. For 2 hours, I had on a Kid's XM radio station and we danced to some pretty silly songs. The miss was thrilled when a Weird Al Yankovich song, that was all about Star Wars, came on. You should have seen her.

They even played with rolls of toilet paper for a good hour. They would stack them into huge towers and knock them down. Who needs to buy blocks, when you can just use tp?

Anyway, today for our fun, we are going to rake the leaves outside. It might not be AS much fun for me, but the kids will love it. It will also be the perfect time to pick out some leaves for our fall foliage friends that we were supposed to make yesterday.

Making Fun #1 - 11/05

Well, I didn't get to post earlier. Today was a busy day. I got a lot of laundry done, but not hung up yet. I was busy with work and had some internet issues. I definitely did NOT make fun #1 today. Although we did get silly a few times, have some tickle fights and we sang and danced.

As promised, here are the fall trees that my kiddos made. The miss (4) had a lot of fun with the craft. The mister (2) enjoyed painting the sticks, the table and his hands.





Now, you'll be surprised, but the tree that looks sort of like a wooden fence, is the miss'. It is actually a Christmas tree. And the mister had fun having me do most of the gluing. He just wanted to paint. :-)

Thankfully I had craft sticks and brown paint on hand. For the leaves, I used leftover yellow fabric.


So I am hoping we can have double the fun tomorrow, courtesy of Family Fun.


First, we'll make some Foliage Friends.
Later, we will play some Tabletop Soccer.

Making Fun #1

Since I work at home and try to pack in a lot of things into the day (laundry, housework, etc...), I don't feel I have enough fun time with the kids as I should. They play together well and probably also watch too much television, but I do what I can do. I don't do my best though, I can say that. So, I have made a goal for myself, Make Fun # 1!!!

I want to make it a point to plan at least one fun thing to do with the kids every day.

Each day, I will post the idea I find, after searching the internet, family magazines and blogs. And the next day, I will post a picture or video of our fun.

Today we are feeling a little under the weather around here, so I picked something easy, but still fun.

A Handmade Halloween

So this right here, this Princess Leia costume, was quite the experience. My daughter is a Star Wars fanatic and HAD to be Leia for Halloween. When I saw that most stores wanted $30.00 for a Leia costume, I thought that there had to be another way. So I googled and searched for Leia costumes. I saw that Simplicity and Butterick made patterns, but boy oh boy, they weren't cheap. More googling brought me to this blog post all about a homemade Princess Leia costume, using a nativity angel pattern and a turtleneck. How hard could that be, I thought.

Now keep in mind, I have only sewn quilts. I had never sewn from a pattern before. It was my lucky day, when I ran to Joann during a phenomenal sale. I found an easy sew nativity angel pattern, usually $11.50, on sale for 99 cents. I decided to buy white cotton flannel in case it ended up being cold on Halloween night. The flannel was also on sale. And they had a child's black witch wig on sale for $1.00, that would be a great length for rolling into cinnamon buns on either side. For about $9.00, I had all that I needed to make a Princess Leia costume.

I had absolutely no idea that the easy sew in 3 hours pattern, would actually take me more like 14 hours to complete. I had no clue what I was getting myself into. Opening the directions and patterns, oh my gosh, it was like reading something written in a foreign language. I was already overwhelmed and I hadn't even started yet. I quickly pinned and cut my pieces, which was surprisingly easy. I sewed the front and back of the gown together and added the little collar as well. It was going well. I even thought, hey, I can do this.

But then, it was time for the sleeves. I could not for the life of me figure out the diagram in the directions. I kept sewing the sleeves on incorrectly. I kept ripping out stitches to try again..and again...and again..AND AGAIN. Every time I sewed them, I would excitedly turn the dress right-side out, only to find that the sleeves were stuck on the inside of the dress....or that I had sewn the whole side of the gown together, so that there weren't arm holes.

I was about to give up. Ripping out stitches is not fun and doing it about 7 times in a row, is enough to leave anyone in tears. My grandmother-in-law saved the day.
I scanned the diagram and emailed it to her and she walked me through the steps. Soon, my gown had sleeves. I then discovered, after trying the gown on her, that the shoulder portion of the sleeve hit her in the middle of her arm. Not wanting to take the sleeves apart ONE MORE TIME, I moved the fabric up a bit to shorten the sleeves.

At this point, I had already spent one night up until almost 1:30 A.M. sewing. It was now the night before her school Halloween party and she still needed a hood. The pattern didn't come with a hood, but I figured I could wing it. Yeah, um, no such luck. After cutting several pieces of fabric, that in my mind would make perfect hoods, I realized that I was completely out of my element. I headed to Wal-Mart, since it was 11:00 P.M., to purchase more white flannel, to keep on trying my hand at hood making. But, they were completely out of white flannel. Thankfully, I found a hooded shirt on sale. I took it home cut the hood off and decided to sew it to the back of the turtleneck that she wears under her gown.

It was now midnight, and my brain had officially shut down for the evening. When I sewed the hood onto her turtleneck, I also sewed the turtleneck shut. I sewed both the front and back together. Almost in tears, I ripped out the stitches. It would probably need to be sewn on by hand, but I am not really good at that either. I then remembered that I had some iron-on velcro. SO in a few steps, I had a removable hood that attached with Velcro. I then quickly made a belt. I WAS FINALLY DONE!

I think it looks very homemade. The gray felt pieces on her belt are falling off, and the stitches in the back have already come undone, from wearing it to her party. But I will make the few needed fixes this afternoon, and it will hopefully stay put for her Trick or Treating adventures this evening.

The miss absolutely LOVES her costume. Before she left for her party, she took a look in the mirror, and squealed with delight. She also proudly told her teachers that her mommy made her costume.


Her little squeal and her huge smile, made it all worth it.

But Jesus Said We Must Have Dessert

The Miss (4) asked me what it was we were going to have for dessert tonight. I told her that we are not having dessert. She then said to me that Jesus says we are always supposed to have dessert. She has her mommy's sweet tooth.

Teasingly, I asked the miss, who can not read, to find in the Bible where Jesus says that we are always to have dessert.

First she pointed to the verse that says, love your enemies. So I told her she had one more try. She closed her Bible, opened it up again, flipped the pages and pointed to the verses that she just knew were all about having dessert.

Updates and Photos

Again, too much time has passed since a post. I am such a busy gal these days. I am so sorry. I had a wonderfully relaxing weekend. The baby and I took a 5 hour road trip to visit a friend of mine over the holiday weekend. My hubby stayed home with the two older kiddos. While at my friend's house, we took some photos of the baby boy.





It was so nice to get away from the day to day. I even got to take a 3 hour long nap one afternoon. I haven't gotten to do that in a looooooong time. When I came back home, I discovered that my husband had cleaned the entire house. It was spotless and I mean SPOTLESS. He mopped, vacuumed, made beds, organized, had scented candles burning.....the whole shebang. It was a lot of work, because some of the rooms were MESSY!! Isn't he wonderful?

Today, the miss got her school pictures back. I wasn't expecting them to turn out well. She had gotten her hair chopped off the night before, since she has cut it herself too many times and it was all uneven. It was also very windy that day and the photos were taken outside. When I saw her picture today, I had little tears in my eyes. I love it, I absolutely love it. Do you wanna see it, do you?



Okay I have to run for now. I promised the kiddos that we would go to a nearby play place. I will write more soon, I promise!!!

MISSisms

The other night I decided to splurge on the hubby and get him Panda Express. It is one of his favorite places to eat, but I am not much of a fan. So I brought home Panda Express for the both of us after running an errand. It was around 8:00 P.M. and although the kids had eaten, we had not had dinner yet.

The miss immediately ran into the kitchen when she saw that I had brought food home. She doesn't like Panda Express, but she still searched through the bags and our plates for little things she could pick at. She took some of the carrots and eggs from my rice as well as a fortune cookie.

A little while later, she found my egg roll, and confiscated it. I told her that she was being a scavenger. She then asked me what that meant. So I explained it to her and also told her she was successful, because she ended up with my food. She then of course wanted to know what successful meant. After answering her and then again describing to her what a scavenger was, I asked her......

Me..."So if you decided you were going to come find yourself some food, and in your searching, you found my egg roll, and you took it for yourself and are now enjoying it, what does that make you?

10 Things I Love

Courtney over at Chaos Is Us, invited us to join in her 10 Things I Love Meme. After leaving a comment, she would respond to us with a letter. I received the letter L. So now I am to share with you all 10 of my favorite things beginning with the letter L.

1. Laughter - I LOVE laughter, especially my kids' laughter. There is nothing better than their hearty belly laughs. I also love how I feel after a huge, energetic laugh.

2. Lasagna - My grandmother came to the United States from Italy, so as you can imagine, I grew up eating delicious Italian meals. One of my favorite dishes is lasagna. It is such a comfort food for me. I surprisingly don't mind Olive Garden's lasagna with some of their peach iced tea. YUM!

3. Long Island, New York - I had an Aunt that lived in Long Island for awhile. I remember visiting her about 8 years ago and falling in love with Long Island. It is so green and gorgeous. The houses are beautiful and the city is just a train ride away. If I ever come into lots and lots of money, you will find me there. :)

4. My Limited Jeans - A friend of mine treated me to a new outfit a few months ago. I received a brand new pair of jeans from The Limited, and I LOVE THEM. They fit me soooo well and they are very flattering. I have realized if I stay away from Juniors sizes and wear clothes intended for women, things fit much better.

5. Lindt Chocolates - Although they aren't my absolute favorite candy, they are up there on the list. I LOVE all things chocolate. And although my friend, Andrea, loves the peanut butter ones the best, my favorite are the red ones.

6. Lavender Roses - They are one of my absolute favorite flowers. Well, actually they are called sterling roses. They made up my wedding bouquet and are given to me by my hubby when he really wants to surprise me. The prettiest ones I have come across are at AJ's.

7. Lyrics - I absolutely love song lyrics. My favorite songs are ones with meaningful and beautiful lyrics. I am constantly googling various songs to read the lyrics.

8. Lazy Days - I don't get these often. They are very rare. So if I ever get to enjoy a LAZY DAY, I milk it for all it's worth.

9. Love - It's a given. Who doesn't love LOVE???

10. Lavishing gifts onto others - When I can afford it, I really do love giving gifts to others. I enjoy thinking of what things they would love the most. It is so much fun to give.

My Fabulous Swap Package

So, I should have posted this last week after receiving the package, but I didn't have a working camera. :-(
Earlier this week, my dad sent me out his old one and I received it yesterday. YAY!

I signed up for the My Favorite Things Swap and it was a lot of fun choosing which of my favorite things I would send out to my swap partner. It was also tons of fun receiving a package too.

My fabulous swap partner, Duchess, sent me such a GREAT package in the mail. She had everything wrapped in the cutest paper with a blue and brown theme. I wish I had had a camera to show you what everything looked like, all wrapped and adorned with ribbons.

I was going to wait for a working camera before opening my gifts, but, really, is it possible to not open the presents right then and there? Obviously not for me.

So, today, I have taken a picture of my wonderful gifts.....well almost all of them.


There's only one thing missing......because I have a huge sweet tooth and I had to gobble them down right away.



Please tell me that you also would have eaten them all in almost one evening?!?!? I had never had those particular cookies before, and they were super yummy.

She also sent a planner, which I desperately needed, a weekly to to list, which I needed even more, a beautiful Christmas ornament, a gorgeous frame, a Banana nut Candle which smells divine and a bag of Dunkin Donuts coffee, which I have also yet to try but have been told by many that it is super yummy.

Apparently I am Overpopulating the Country

So when I go out with all three kiddos, usually at a grocery store, I always hear things like...

"Wow, you must have your hands full!" or

"Wow, you are a busy mommy."

Today an old man said something to me I had yet to hear. I walked by the cute old couple in the bakery section. They started inching toward my cart and I was prepared to hear about how sweet the kids are or how they have a ton of grandkids or something along those lines.

Instead, they barely glanced at my children. But the old man came up to me and said....
"You are overpopulating our country."

I kid you not. I just smiled and went on my way.

I am not sure how 3 kids is overpopulating the country. He was old, maybe he has double vision problems or something.

Oh, How Time has Flown

It has been over a week since my last post. I can not tell you how many times I wanted to stop what I was doing and share a story or a photo, but last week was a CRAZY week.

We had a sicko in our house, in the form of a pale, lethargic, feverish two-year-old. He ran a fever around 103 for 5 days. He went to his doctor who wasn't sure what was going in. She looked at his ears, said that one looked a little red and may turn into an ear infection soon. She couldn't explain the horrible stomach pains he had had a few nights back and thought perhaps we should test his urine for a UTI.

The "pee bag" didn't work, so I spent an afternoon following the naked boy around the house with a urine cup. I never succeeded in filling it. That night, his fever spiked at 103.5, and I thought perhaps the ER was needed, maybe a catheter.

Off we went to the ER, where we were told he had a bulging, horrible ear infection. Once he was on his meds for 48 hours, his fever went down. The next day, he was smiling again.

We dealt with sleepless nights and a very sick child for almost a week. And I was very, VERY sleep-deprived. But all is better now.

Let's see, I took the miss (4 1/2) for a hair cut for school picture day, last Friday. I just wanted a trim and her bangs trimmed. But my miss has cut her own hair a few times now. The hairdresser suggested evening everything out and cutting more off than just a little trim would do. I agreed, but never realized that it would be soooo short. Her little bob suits her though, but I miss her long hair.



Baby Boy (6 Mos.) received a brand new swing from Fisher Price. He loves it, LOVES IT!


And to quickly plug the amazing swing, it is the Fisher Price
My Little Lamb Cradle n Swing. It has the softest, plushest seat. I call it the Hyatt of swings. The seat can also rotate 3 ways. It can play songs and nature sounds and has a fun little tray with toys on it, which he looooooves. He happily spends a good chunk of time in his swing and always looks so comfortable. So, I highly recommend this swing!!!!

Oh, and we set up The miss' new bed. Her room is still pink. We are slowly undergoing a bedroom transformation at her request. Pink Princess theme is changing to Star Wars theme. We need to paint her room here soon. Over at 5 Minutes for Mom, we are giving away a new bedroom set from Home & Bedroom Furniture, the lovely folks who gifted me a new bedroom set for the miss. Let's see, I participated in the My Favorite Things Swap. Due to the sicko, really it is a good excuse, I was late in sending out my package to my partner. I did receive the one from her, however, and it ROCKS! I love everything she sent me. But you have to wait to see all the goodies, until she has her box in hand. I will post photos of everything she sent my way.

Oh, oh I have a story to share with all of you, but I will post it a little later, because I am worried that this here post is getting a little too long. So, I'll be back later, I promise!!!

The Beginnings of a Caffeine Addict

The Miss (4 1/2) just asked me if she could have some Pepsi. But she didn't want it because she isn't allowed to have it or because she is thirsty. When I asked her why she wanted Pepsi, she said:

"Mom, I want it so that I can stay awake when we go to the park tonight."

And that my friends is how the caffeine addiction begins.

Morning Conversation With The Miss

The miss (4 1/2) was in the kitchen singing.....
"I love him. I love him. I love hiiiiiim.

Me: Who do you love?

The Miss: Nothing. I am playing a superhero game. Don't say anything. Just do your work!!!!!!!!!

Me: Superheroes walk around singing, I love him???

The Miss: No, only girls do.

Me: But I thought that you were playing a superhero game?
I then made a silly face and stared her down.

The Miss: What???

Me: I didn't say anything.

The Miss: Stop looking at me.

Me: Swan

Every time she says stop looking at me, I usually always say swan. She then says swan back and then the conversation ends.

Our Sunday Hike

We recently declared Sunday as our family day. But I am beginning to think that it would be better if Saturday becomes our family day, because between church and football, our Sundays fill up quickly.

This past Sunday, we went on a hike at a nearby park that I found online after searching for easy hiking trails in the area. When traveling with three young ones and a double stroller, you need easy.

I discovered there was such a park nestled within a neighborhood about 20 minutes away. It was funny, because as we approached the park, hubby was all sorts of confused. You would never know that hidden among the houses were miles of beautiful trails.

It was so beautiful. We were immersed in greenery. There was also a little creek that ran alongside some of the trails. The air smelled so crisp and clean. The kids had such a wonderful time.

The miss(4 1/2) wanted to run through the trails, eager to see what was around the corner, or what the next trail had in store. She is like her mommy in that way. I hardly ever slow down. The mister(2) walked slowly, taking it all in. He wanted to study everything. He walked around with his finger out most of the time, pointing to the various plants, trees, flowers and even the clouds. The baby boy (6 months) slept most of the time, surprisingly. The trail was bumpy and in his stroller, he was off-roading.

We stopped at a little picnic table next to the creek to eat our picnic dinner and it was a nice time. It was great to get out of the house. The kids LOVED it.
The park is pretty close to Tiff's house. So we are going to go again on Saturday with her kiddos.

My camera is pretty much useless, so I didn't get any pictures of our hike. I did find some pictures of the park online, including the one at the top of the post, so I am going to share them with you.

This one isn't crafty, but really, this gal intimidated me...and all I was thinking was how great it would be if I were to freeze a month's worth of meals, not that I have that much room in my freezer.

Has it Really Been 4 Days?

I can't believe that I haven't posted since Tuesday. Time sure does fly. I have been a busy bee, I guess.

Yesterday, I completely spaced that I had to leave by 8:45 to get the miss to school on time. As I sat at the kitchen table working away, I looked at the clock, saw that it was 8:45 and panicked for a second when I realized that my daughter was definitely going to be late for school. The boys were dressed and ready to go, but the miss and I were still in our pj's. So we quickly rushed around finding clothes, brushing teeth and hair, putting on socks and shoes. We made it out the door fairly quickly. She was only ten minutes late.

It was sprinkling when we left the house. But then when the boys and I headed back to the car after dropping the miss off at her classroom, it was pouring. And I mean POURING. I had a blanket over the car seat, so the bay boy was fine. But the mister and I got soaked. He loved it, laughing the entire way to the car, while making sure to hop in every puddle.

When we came back home, I let the mister paint. It was his first time using his sister's paints. Shhhhhh don't tell. He loved it.





On Thursday we did something special at the Ladies Bible study. Basically the older and very crafty gals taught us younger wannabe crafty gals how to do all sorts of fun things. I learned how to make a rose using ribbon embroidery. It was so easy and so much fun. And I may have to take up ribbon embroidering. Isn't my rose pretty? But, really, for my first time, I was impressed.



Other than the mad dash to school yesterday, watching the mister paint for the first time and my ribbon embroidery, my week was pretty much same ol', same ol'.

I did make some bean bags this morning for the kids. I have quite a few scrap squares of fabric leftover from the last two cuddle quilts that I made. And we had a couple of bags of beans laying around. So, I quickly threw some bean bags together. The kids loved helping me fill them up. And the miss has been playing with them quite a bit this morning.

Also this morning, I spent over an hour finding all sorts of fun, crafty projects online, that I want to try out. So my next post, in a few minutes, will be filled with fun links and ideas.

Chubby Applesauce Cheeks

I am sitting here feeding the baby boy some Gerber Applesauce. He looks so tiny in his huge high chair, as he sits sideways at times, unable to keep his balance.

Most of the spoonfuls end up all over his face, but he doesn't mind. He just giggles and adoringly smiles at me as I bring bite after bite to his mouth.

And I pause at times to stare at him and study him.....to take a moment to enjoy this time with the baby boy. I know that in a blink of an eye, he will have outgrown his highchair and will sit in a booster seat at the table. Then before I know it, he'll be climbing out of his booster and running all around the house, refusing to eat his dinner.

And then just a short time later, I will be standing at the doorway, while he plays outside, hollering for him to tell the neighborhood boys goodnight, because it's time to come inside and eat.

Yep, time really will fly by.

But thankfully, I've been given this minute, right here and right now, to enjoy his chunky neck rolls, his toothless, dimpled smile and his chubby applesauce cheeks.



And don't even get me started on his cute, little baby hands.....

Okay, I got misty-eyed watching the trailer. Am I hormonal, or what? :-)

Mommy, I Have to Tell You Something.....

The miss begins many of her sentences lately with those words. She has something important to say, so I best listen up.

The other day, I was loading the kiddos into the car, and the miss decided that it was time for an important discussion.

The Miss: Mommy, I have to tell you something.

Me: Okay...

The Miss: God made fireflies, right?

Me: Yep

The Miss: Okay. And then they went up to the stars and got stuck.

Me: Oh?

The Miss: Yes

Oh, and the orders are out:

The Miss: Mommy, I have to tell you something.

Me: What?

The Miss: For Halloween, I am going to be Princess Leia. You are going to be Queen Amidala. Daddy is going to be Darth Vader. "The mister" is going to be Luke Skywalker, and "the baby boy" is going to be "Obi Obi Nobi"

I'm thinking of making something for it. It would be fun, huh?

1st Day of Pre-K

We were up and at 'em early this morning. I thought I was prepared. I took out everyone's clothes last night, including socks and shoes. I had all of the paperwork for the school paper clipped together and in my purse. Her Epi-Pen was also ready to go.
We had a little bit of a late start this morning and a baby boy who decided to take his sweet old time eating. But, we were still ready to go exactly when I needed us to be.

The miss didn't wear her best outfit and had wet spots from where I quickly cleaned oatmeal off of her shirt. I thought that I did a good job of blow-drying it, but looking at her pictures, her shirt was still wet.

And although we had to quickly run a brush through her hair, my daughter still looked beautiful.

So with the baby boy in one hand, the mister in the other and my bouncy daughter wearing her way too big for her backpack, we headed out the door, only to realize that my keys were not in my purse.

I looked everywhere. They were nowhere to be found. I watched as the time on the clock inched closer to 9:00. I did NOT want to be the mom who drops their child off late for the first day of school.

After turning three rooms upsidedown in under 60 seconds, I decided to call my hubby at work, to see if he had any idea as to where my keys were. It was then that he discovered that he left the house this morning with both sets of keys. He said he would race home. Thankfully, he works about 5 minutes away from our house.

I called the school to give them a heads up. We ended up arriving about 7 minutes late.

She had a wonderful time and is excited to go back again on Friday.

She is getting too big. Tell her to stop growing!





I am bummed by the way the pictures came out...with the shadows and such. Hopefully someday I'll have a nice camera. I am thankful that the camera worked for me today. Some days, it decides not to take any pictures. So, I guess pictures that are just okay are better than none at all, right?

Labor Day

So yes, Labor Day was yesterday, I am a little slow.In honor of yesterday's celebration, here is a fun meme that I found over at Tiff's.


How long were your labors?
The Miss: 14 hours
The Mister: 4 hours
The Baby Boy: 7 hours

How did you know you were in labor?
With the miss, I was induced and those were some FUN contractions, let me tell you.
With the mister, my water broke, it was more like an explosion of sorts.
With the baby boy, I had been having contractions all day, and they persisted and stayed consistent.

Where did you deliver?
The Miss was at a civilian hospital with military doctors.
The Mister was born at the Army Hospital.
The baby boy was born in my family room. :-)

Drugs?
-My goal was a natural birth for the miss. But after about 7 hours of pitocin induced contractions, I couldn't take it anymore. I had an epidural, which helped then, but it did give me a HORRID spinal headache.
- The mister came fast, but my contractions never stopped and I had back labor, really bad back labor. I asked for an epidural, but it didn't really kick in until I was pushing.
- The baby boy was a completely natural birth at home. (The best one of the three)

C-section?
No, thank goodness. I have always been terrified of c-sections. I told my hubby that I would cry harder than I ever have before, if I was told I'd have to have a c-section.

Who delivered?
The first two were military deliveries. I hardly ever had the same doctor and really can't remember who delivered them.
With the baby boy, it was my awesome midwife.

My 2nd Cuddlebug Quilt

Originally I was going to turn this into a quilt for the baby boy. Once I laid out all of the squares however, I didn't really like the colors. So, I will make the baby boy a different one.

The quilt is still very adorable, so I am sending it off to a friend who is having a baby boy soon.









Only my second time using a zig-zag stitch (for the giraffe). Isn't he darling?

This blanket is so soft.

I may make a little taggie blanket to go with it. I have leftover green chenille and blue fleece. Why not make a super soft taggie blanket too? :-)
